A small orange berry from big mountains
Sea buckthorn (Hippophae rhamnoides) is a hardy, thorny shrub that grows on cold, high-altitude Himalayan slopes. In Uttarakhand it is known as Badri Berry. Its bright orange berries are sharp, tangy and packed with goodness.
Sea buckthorn is known for its vitamin C, carotenoids and healthy plant oils. That is why it has long been enjoyed as a health drink and in traditional wellness.
At Himalayan Flora we work with berries grown naturally in Chamoli and Leh-Ladakh. We handle every step ourselves: collecting, processing and packing.

Collect. Process. Pack.
Three steps keep the berry fresh and the flavour true to the mountains.
Collect
Berries are harvested from the shrubs and brought in with leaves and twigs, still fresh.
Process
The berries are cleaned, sorted and put through our machines to extract the pulp and juice. The leftover residue is cleaned and dried.
Pack
The finished concentrate is stored and filled into bottles, ready to ship.
Collecting the harvest
The berries grow in tight clusters along thorny branches. Harvest is careful work, and the fruit comes in by the heap.

Processing the berries
Leaves and twigs are removed, berries are cleaned and then processed in steel machines.
Nothing goes to waste
After the concentrate is extracted, the leftover residue is cleaned and dried. We then mix it with other ingredients to make our Sea Buckthorn Herbal Health Drink.
Storing and packing
Processed pulp and juice is held in food-grade drums, then filled into 750 ml and 300 ml bottles of Sea Buckthorn Concentrate.
Our Sea Buckthorn Concentrate is naturally grown in Chamoli and Leh-Ladakh and packed at source.
